LSEAAS Bi-Monthly Dinners @ Lino/La Taperia

(Registration is now closed, thank you for your support!)

Now that Singapore is slowly opening up, we are happy to launch a new bi-monthly dinner series for LSEAAS members. We want to provide a platform to connect – or reconnect –with the school and its alumni here … or just to have a pleasant dinner with like-minded fellow LSE alumni.
Following the great reception of last year’s Christmas dinner, we are proud to continue our collaboration with the Les Amis Group into 2022. The bi-monthly dinners will be held alternatively at their Lino’s and La Taperia restaurants.

For the upcoming first dinner on 12 May at Lino’s we are delighted to have Prof Hyun Bang Shin, the Director of the LSE Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre and Professor of Geography and Urban Studies at LSE joining us as a special guest.

You can find out more about the LSE’s Saw Swee Hock SEA centre on their website (https://www.lse.ac.uk/SEAC) and about Prof Hyun’s work on his personal website (http://urbancommune.net) – or just ask him anything during the dinner.

The Restaurant
The name LINO comes from the Italian word LINEN, which is used to cover pizza dough as it leavens – a traditional method that helps the dough naturally ferment without interference.

Lino’s food is rooted in this same philosophy of utilizing classic cooking techniques that allows flavors to develop naturally and honestly, delivering an experience that warms the heart and touches the soul.

Lino is your go-to Italian restaurant that provides a relaxed, casual, yet elegant dining experience with both indoor and al-fresco seating.

P.S. This event is for fully vaccinated individuals only.
